VLookup

VLookup Sample: The manager wants to know which accounts from 2015 are NOT in 2016 and 2017. And also, which accounts are in 2016 but NOT in 2017. We complete this by using the VLOOKUP Function of extractin which accounts from 2015 are NOT in 2016 and 2017. And also, which accounts are in 2016 but NOT in 2017.

Query/view/stored procedure

Also, for optional confirmation of the VLOOKUP Sample execution, the data has been copied over to SQL. The T-SQL script is written using a few joins and temporary tables where the same results are retrieved of extracting the accounts from 2015 that are NOT in 2016 and 2017 and extracting the accounts from 2016 that are NOT in 2017.

Data Migration/Integration

Simple SSIS Data Flow of copying the 2015, 2016, 2017 data from Excel workbook/spreadsheet to SQL database/table.
